Heidi Paessler, LPC, is a trauma therapist who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. She sees clients ages 13 years and older. Heidi has a special interest in sexual traumas, depression, anxiety, suicidal and self-harm risk, risky behaviors, disordered eating, human trafficking, and issues related to gender and sexuality. Heidi’s professional philosophy is heavily influenced in practices of mindfulness, emotional observation and regulation, psychoeducation, and building trust with her clients through transparency and authentic connection.
Heidi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She earned her Master of Science in Education degree with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She is licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who also has special certification in TF-CBT and CCTP.
Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her partner, their two dogs, and three cats. She especially enjoys going for walks in the woods (fall time is her favorite), cooking for others, visiting new places, enjoying a cozy cup of chai, and spending peaceful days at home, reading or journaling.
